AI Brief Enhancement
Appellate briefs generated by Artificial Intelligence (“AI”) programs like ChatGPT and Claude are usually well-written, logical, and cover most of the issues raised by the documents you feed them.
But filing an AI generated brief or writ petition without a review by an experienced appellate attorney can be risky.
AI briefs are generated by computers, so they are not yet able to fully consider the emotions, quirks and foibles of human beings: the judges who will be reading the briefs. Our appellate experts have extensive experience winning cases in front to live appellate justices, who do not always apply the strict logical approach presented by AI.
We can review and enhance your AI brief, finding and correcting missed issues, missed cases, missed arguments, and other mistakes—at a small fraction of what it would have cost to retain appellate counsel to handle the entire appeal.
We will also review your AI brief for “hallucinations”—non-existent cases or inaccurate summaries of cases. AI occasionally makes these mistakes, and lawyers who don’t catch them have been sanctioned thousands of dollars and referred to the State Bar for discipline.
Don’t forget oral argument. Get experienced appellate counsel to help you with this—perhaps with a moot court. Or you might bring us in just to handle the oral argument.
Our AI reviews can be especially useful when you are seeking a writ from an appellate court, where you might be short on time to thoroughly review an AI-generated writ petition. And petitions for writs must be supported by declarations (with exhibits) that must be carefully prepared—not an easy job for AI.
"VAST LEGAL KNOWLEDGE AND PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE"
“Myron did an amazing job. I had an urgent situation in which my client would have been irreparably injured if a stay was not granted; rendering any appeal meaningless. Myron used his vast legal knowledge and practical knowledge about dealing with appellate courts to obtain the stay. He then formulated a plan for our briefing and arguments and supplemented our filing as needed so as to get a result which caused the other side to drop their case. You also learned quickly that, unless you practice in the appellate courts like Myron does, you do not know anything about appellate practice."
- Ameet Birring, Esq., Modesto
